Dreamina & Seedance / FIELD NOTES
Save the MP4 source from a Dreamina work
For a supported Dreamina video, MP4 is the source-download option. The service retrieves the available video from the public work and streams it to your browser. It does not create a new scene or re-encode the video to make this source download.
Download your own work or content you have permission to save.
What “MP4 source” means here
The result’s format comes from the media returned by Dreamina. “Source” refers to the file accessible through the public work, which may differ from an account-specific export or a creator’s production master. You receive that available rendition with its existing dimensions, soundtrack and visible marks.
MP4 describes a file container. It does not by itself promise a resolution, frame rate or a particular editor’s codec support. A source download avoids a downloader video re-encode, but it cannot undo compression already present in the source. There is no quality slider or 4K enhancement step in this workflow.
Download the MP4 and keep a working copy
On a phone, a completed download may be in the browser’s download location rather than the photo library. On a computer, the browser may ask for a folder or use its configured default. Check the device guide if you can see the preview but cannot find the saved file.
- Copy the public Dreamina work-detail link for the video.
- Resolve the link and confirm the returned clip is the one you intended to save.
- Select the MP4 source option and finish the browser’s save action.
- Wait for the file download to finish before closing the page or importing it into an editor.
- Play the local file, then keep it unchanged as your source copy while editing another copy.
Check the file before adding it to an edit
Import the MP4 and inspect its dimensions, orientation, duration and audio. Set your project based on those properties and the intended delivery format. If a player opens the clip but your editor rejects it, keep the source and check that editor’s supported media settings; changing “.mp4” in the filename cannot change the codec.
If the file stops unexpectedly, check whether the browser completed the transfer. A fresh download from the public work is more useful than converting an incomplete copy. The service supports source range requests, but whether a browser resumes a transfer depends on the browser and the source response.
Keep the work link as your download reference
Dreamina media addresses are signed and can expire. This service revisits the work page when a download is requested to obtain a fresh address. A copied CDN URL is therefore a poor long-term project reference and is not the expected input for this form.
Result sessions also expire after ten minutes. If you return to an old tab, resolve the work link again. A public work URL is a better reference, although the creator can still remove the work or change its availability.
Make derivatives for a specific destination
Keep MP4 for moving video with any available sound. Use GIF for a short silent animation, JPG for the first frame or MP3 for the existing soundtrack. These are derived files, each with its own tradeoffs. An image work does not gain an MP4 export merely by using this page, and this service does not turn still images into videos.
- Each source must fit within 200 MB.
- A batch can contain up to ten work links, with a 200 MB combined source ZIP limit.
- Conversions run one at a time and process up to ten minutes of media.
Questions about this guide
Is the MP4 source re-encoded?
The source path streams the available video without a downloader video re-encode. Separate GIF, MP3 and JPG outputs use conversion.
Can I choose a higher MP4 resolution?
This service offers the public source it finds. It does not offer a resolution selector or retrieve higher-quality private exports.
